This is an interview Mandii had with the owner of TRMF's Dana:)

Dana {of TRMF}: Hey Mandii:) Sooo you're finally 16!! The big 1-6! How does it feel?!

Mandii {of Mandiigirl & Kandy}: Hey, Dana. It feels pretty good:) But I'm not going to lie. Fifteen was such an amazing age/year for me! I loved being fifteen:} But everyone has told me that sixteen will be just as good....And I am going to be positive about it. I believe that being 16 will bring even more happiness, hard times, and plenty of new songs!!

Dana: That's a really good mindset to have! No wonder everyone loves you:) Anyway, The rumor is that you have a very serious relationship right now with your boyfriend. Tell me more about that.

Mandii: Yes, I do. We have been dating for about four and a half months. But we were best friends before anything happened, so we really got to know each other. Which is the way it should be, because what if you find out that you really have nothing in common with that person? And being in a relationship only for the physical side of it isn't fair or good at all. But me and Sam are very much in love and this is very first time for either of us to feel so strongly about someone. We know it's love and it hasn't been easy. Because I've learned so much. I've learned that love is not a feeling, it's a commitment.

Dana: Is it true that Sam is moving away?

Mandii: Yes, it is very much true unfortunately. He is moving away to Brazil on the 13th of this month. It is the hardest thing that I have ever had to go through....But I believe that if we are still meant to be someday, that God will make a way for us. And if not, then he will mend our hearts and we will still have a friend forever.

Dana: Why does he have to move away?

Mandii: It has something to do with the immigration laws and our 'wonderful' president. And I think that more could have been done to prevent their move, but his family was just tired of fighting.

Dana: Awwe I'm really very sorry. = ( But you're strong and I know that you'll make it through.

Mandii: Thank you:) I hope so. I am trying to be strong, and keep super busy the second that he leaves. So that way I am never left with a spare moment to catch my breathe and really realize what's missing. I've even been buying a bunch of books so if I ever have a spare moment, I can get lost in a story.

Dana: Being that you two are so serious, and he is leaving has this had an affect on your views about sex?

Mandii: No. I don't even know how to describe how he makes me feel. He makes me feel like waiting. He makes me want to wait until I get married. Because what if he's not the one I marry? Even if he is, I still want to wait until marriage to even think about having sex.

Dana: How are you doing in school this year?

Mandii: I am running A's in just about everything. But it is not easy balancing all my homework and everything else! But I manage good grades somehow.

Dana: What are the projects that your working on now, have just accomplished and will accomplish in this year and the next?

Mandii: I am working on my second book, but my very first solo book. I am also working on a play and have several hours of dance a week.  I have been writing a lot of songs lately about what has been going on with my life and everyone in it. I've written maybe about 20 to 30 in the past month or so. I have also had plenty of photo shoots going on, and I just became an official silver medalist in my church's Missionette program on the first of the month. And now I am working toward my gold medal of achievement. I have also again started volunteering in my church's Toddler program every Sunday and am working on choreographing a new worship dance to perform in church before the year's end. I will also start preparing for The National Youth Fine Arts Competition once again, this month, and the first level of the competition will be in February 2010. Then the second level will follow in April, then the third in August. {Supposing I even make it again}. I am not sure, but I am hoping to have finished writing my book sometime in early 2010, Maybe April or May. But who knows! :) I will also be having dance lessons until June, then having a performance sometime in June right after I finish with another year of lessons. I am also starting to play the guitar and am getting singing lessons sometime soon.

Dana: WOW! You're so incredible! That's amazing! & your only 16!! :) You've gotta be proud!!

Mandii: Yes, I guess I am :) I am more shocked that I am able to accomplish all of this! I am truly blessed!!

Dana: Yes you are:) Soo can you give away any of your new song titles?

Mandii: Welllllll, I don't see why not ; ) A few are just "Falling in Love", "All I Can Do is Miss You",  "A Senior and A Sophomore", and "Forevermore". But that's all you'll get to know for now!! :D

Dana: They all sound soo good! Can't wait to hear the rest of them! :) Thank for letting me interview you, Mand!
